Tween Book Club – Grades 6-8
Book: Insignificant Events in the Life of a Cactus by Dusti Bowling
The Program
This was a great book club title! The participants loved the book and there’s a lot of good discussion. I downloaded a discussion guide off of Dusti Bowlings website, but I didn’t need to refer to it much because we had a great conversation about the book that touched on all aspects of the book.
While we talked we made these adorable little cactus rock pets. All you need are rocks, small pots, green acrylic paints and white acrylic paints. Easy peasy and fun!
