Page Turners Book Club – Grades 4-6
Book: The Lion of Mars, by Jennifer Holm
The Program: This is a very animated group that usually does not require much prompting to discuss! However, to be prepared I downloaded this discussion guide. For the first 20 minutes the group discussed the book, including everyone giving the book a score on a scale of 1-10.
Activity: I found these little wooden aliens, space ships, rockets, clouds, stars, etc. and the kids painted them. While we painted we discussed other books they had read recently.
